Norbert is a highly skilled yacht builder and project manager, bringing over two decades of expertise in the shipbuilding and yachting industries.

His career began with practical, hands-on experience in maritime operations, including his time in the German Navy, where he served as Chief Engineer. This foundation provided him with a deep understanding of marine engineering and project coordination, which he later applied in civilian yacht and ship construction.

With a career marked by progressive leadership roles as head of engineering, design/engineering project manager and project manager, Norbert has demonstrated his capability to handle complex projects from inception to delivery, particularly excelling in high-stakes environments requiring budget adherence, strict quality control, and meticulous scheduling.

Norbert’s experience spans across managing both mega yacht constructions and refit projects. From 2009 to 2016, he held the position of Design/Engineering Project Manager at Nobiskrug GmbH, where he oversaw the complete project cycle of two 74m mega yachts as well as the stunning and outstanding 143-meter sail-assisted “SAILING YACHT A”, where he led the engineering of a team of 70 professionals and maintaining close communication with clients and classification societies to uphold rigorous quality and safety standards, ensuring that each phase met the exacting standards required in luxury yacht production.

Between 2016 and 2020, Norbert held the position of Head of Engineering, where he demonstrated outstanding leadership and strategic vision. In this role, he was responsible for leading an engineering team of over 150 skilled professionals across more than five departments, overseeing all active projects within the organization. His responsibilities encompassed not only the technical direction and execution of complex yacht engineering projects but also workforce planning, capacity management, and budget control. Under his leadership, his team achieved significant milestones in innovation and efficiency, ensuring that each project met rigorous standards for quality and functionality.

Norbert’s ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and integrate various facets of engineering into a cohesive, high-performance unit was pivotal to the successful completion of numerous mega yacht projects during this period. His focus on fostering collaboration and continuous improvement allowed him to streamline processes, reduce operational bottlenecks, and enhance overall productivity, underscoring his commitment to excellence in the yacht-building industry.

As a Head of Project Management Office at FSG-Nobiskrug Holding GmbH, Norbert was responsible for leading cross-site project teams, implementing continuous improvement processes, and managing negotiations with clients and suppliers. His extensive hands-on experience in both project and team leadership has equipped him with an exceptional ability to anticipate challenges and proactively drive innovative solutions. His skills in 3D modeling, combined with extensive technical knowledge in shipbuilding and engineering, reflect his commitment to quality and precision.

Holds a certificate as a state-certified technician in mechanical engineering.
